The Best and Latest Appropriate Response to the (NOT) Roswell Slides Debacle… from Jack Brewer:
Some excellent quotes:
More aspects of the mummy saga quickly fell into place, but beWITNESS promoter Jaime Maussan rejected the data at every turn. Don Schmitt published an apology for his participation in the event, but abruptly retracted it and continued promoting the story of the slides at events such as a MUFON conference in Pittsburgh. Tom Carey similarly rejected the mounting and conclusive evidence of the origin of the mummy, and he and partner Schmitt were enabled to continue spreading their unsupported story at such venues as Jimmy Church’s Fade to Black, where they were largely interpreted to have obscured facts and evaded relevant issues. Maussan offered a 5,000 USD cash bounty amid the nonsense for more photos of the mummy in question, which the floundering researchers continued to promote as an alien in spite of no proof whatsoever to support arriving at such an extreme conclusion.
Jorge Peredo seems to have been the first to locate an independent photo of the mummy when he did so about June 9.
Soon afterward, on June 12, researcher Shepherd Johnson obtained copies of numerous documents, including a photo of the mummy, from the National Park Service (NPS) via the Freedom of Information Act.
Those following the saga were not surprised when Maussan once again rejected the evidence presented.
Anthony Bragalia issued an apology – to the mummy …
Some voiced objections to Bragalia’s actions, viewing them as attempts to shirk accountability, as he was the most vocal and adamant of his fellow slides promoters throughout the saga. It was not well received in light of the facts that for months Bragalia passionately insisted he be believed that the slides and much of the related circumstances were vetted, and that due diligence had been carried out, yet it is now abundantly clear that obviously could not possibly have been the case.
Bragalia appeared unable to understand the mistakes he had made in failing to accurately differentiate between fact and supposition. It was also argued that he failed to understand why people object. It could be added that he is highly unlikely to find sympathy, even if he is now correct, among those who warned him all along that he was jumping to premature and irrational conclusions, yet he met those warnings with extremely questionable tactics and digging his heels in even deeper.
It is arguably very doubtful that the saga could have progressed as far as it did without blatant collusion. It is extremely difficult to accept anyone could view those images, with or without documents from the NPS, and not consider the most likely explanation to be a mummy in a museum setting, or, at the least, realize there is no reason whatsoever to assume an alien.
… they are highly unlikely to find a sympathetic ear among a UFO community that warned them all along to suspend judgment pending verifiable evidence, and they chose to reject those warnings with aggressive and self-righteous contempt. If the rest of us can be expected to figure out how to avoid jumping to unfounded and, in all honesty, idiotic conclusions, so can they.
Thank you Jack for keeping the heat on these failed “researchers.”

SPECIAL GUEST # 1 – JOSHUA CUTCHIN
Our guest tonight has a reputation for being a blowhard.
Joshua Cutchin began playing tuba at age 12. Five years later, he appeared on NBC’s Today Show with Sam Pilafian and Patrick Sheridan; the year after, he enrolled in the University of Wisconsin, where he studied music performance under the eminent John Stevens and received his first instruction in jazz with Jim Doherty.
But we are not here today to talk about music, but instead the delicacies of food.
But this will not be your normal trip to MacBurger, but instead we will dine with the “gods.”
Joshua Cutchin has served as Public Affairs Director of the University of Georgia Hugh Hodgson School of Music for three years. During his tenure at UGA, Joshua has authored over one hundred articles, press releases, and blog posts. In addition to appearing in local media, his press releases have also been referenced and distributed by such media outlets as the Associated Press and National Public Radio. Before his time at UGA, Joshua provided content for the Georgia Symphony Orchestra (Marietta, GA), Athens Banner-Herald (Athens, GA), Walton Tribune (Monroe, GA), and Observer News Enterprise (Newton, NC).
Joshua has appeared on a variety of paranormal programs discussing his work, including Coast to Coast AM, Mysterious Universe, Binnall of America, and the Gralien Report. Just a few weeks ago , Anomalist Books released his first book, A Trojan Feast.
A Trojan Feast is a book like no other. Sandwiched between its covers you will read some succulent tales to make your mouth water. Accept food from faeries, and you’ll never escape their realm, according to European folklore. Accept food from Sasquatch and you will forever be trapped in the spirit world, according to indigenous North American tales. And today, abductees—at least those who have returned—often report being offered strange beverages from their captors. Are these similarities mere coincidence, or is something more at play?
In this outstanding example of scholarship on the unknown, Joshua Cutchin has created the world’s first survey and analysis of the food and drink offered by aliens, faeries, and Sasquatch. The offerings are often not what they appear to be: some liquids have healing or aphrodisiac qualities, some foods expand awareness, and there are ointments that reveal an invisible world.
Through his playful explorations of every possibility—from the outer regions of space to the inner sanctum of the human mind—A TROJAN FEAST offers new insight into our relationship with these strange creatures of the outer edge.

SPECIAL GUEST # 2
STEPHEN MILES LEWIS
SMiles Lewis has had a lifelong interest in all things anomalous. An early age proclivity at recalling his nightly dreams as well as several personal experiences with ESP, precognition and dream switching bolstered his interest in the paranormal. Shortly after high-school he joined the local MUFON chapter in Austin, Texas. He would later become a MUFON State Section Director for that group as well as leader of the local UFO Experiencer Support and Study Group. A lover of books, SMiles collected over 1000 titles before founding the non-profit Anomaly Archives that serves as the lending library of the Scientific Anomaly Institute (501c3). For over twenty years he has worked with digital audio, video and other bleeding edge internet technologies.
He has published his own print journal (E.L.F. Infested Spaces), edited a local paranormal newspaper (Austin Para Times), maintained a large network of websites (ELFIS.net), organized a national UFO conference (NUFOC-38), spoken to anthropologists about UFOs and parapsychology (Encounters with the Fantastic), hosted (and been a guest on) both terrestrial and webradio talk shows and has been podcasting since before the phrase existed. All these efforts and more have led radio talk show host Robert Larson to describe Miles as a “Gonzo Alt-Media Proprietor and Informationalist.” He is also the LOWFI-Texas State Bureau Chief of The League of Western Fortean Intermediatists.
SMiles’ current projects include co-hosting PsiOp-Radio with Mack White as part of the many unique shows airing daily on his ANOMALY RADIO Network.
He is active with several local non-profits which includes his service on the board of directors for the Institute for Neuroscience And Consciousness Studies (INACS) and the Scientific

Congrats to Russell Dowden on a year of publishing Rockstar Magazine!
Check out the 2-page spread on page 25. It’s a flashback retrospective on the long-strange trip from producing the conference program for the ill-fated 38th annual National UFO Conference slated for September 14-16th, 2001 and the launch of Austin Para Times, which became Weird Magazine, which got bought by Alex Jones, and morphed into InfoWars Magazine, and ultimately led Russell to briefly publish Paranoid Magazine and now for a year, Rockstar Magazine.
Very sad news to pass on. Art Blondin of Artz Rib House fame has passed away. He was found at 10 a.m. this morning at his new barbecue joint in Florence by an employee coming to work. Florence police chief Adam Marsh said the cause of death is under investigation. I met Art as a bass player for Jon Emery. His Rib House on S. Lamar Blvd. was always a music-friendly venue until it closed a couple years ago. Just stunned by this news.
Psychologist, Paranormal Investigator, Ancient Mystery Explorer, Documentary Filmmaker, UFO Theorist, Author and More … Dr. Greg Little will be our guest Wednesday night, February 21st, 2014 at 7pm CST via www.AnomalyRadio.com
You can find links to his many articles online at the ALTERNATE PERCEPTIONS website:
I first became aware of Dr. Greg Little’s work in the early 1990s. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed everything of his I’ve read and feel his first three UFO books are an important contribution to the field. His first effort, The Archetype Experience, focused on Jung’s ideas about synchronicity and the archetypes. His second effort, People of the Web, brought in his emerging interest in Native American mound-builder cultures. His third contribution, Grand Illusions, rounded out this trilogy, incorporating Near Death Experiences, Earth Lights and Earth Energies research, and much more!
Since that time, Greg has continued exploring earth’s mysteries, publishing The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Native American Mounds & Earthworks, and other important research into the Native American mound-building cultures, the work of Edgar Cayce, locating evidence of ancient civilizations such as Atlantis, finding lost planes in the Bermuda Triangle, and much much more!
The the link and excerpt below you can read my previous review of his book Grand Illusions as well as a portion of my 2011 UFO lecture in which I describe his ideas about Jung, Synchronicity, and the Archetypes.
I hope you’ll tune in to the show this Wednesday night.
– SMiles Lewis
Carl Jung: Synchronicity, Archetypes and the Collective Unconscious
Gregory L. Little –“Materialized Archetypal Splinters”
“Synchronicity is a special condition of awareness that results from energization of the mandala archetype.”
- “Human dilemma” of our tech outpacing our ability to control it
- Jung: Archetypes independent, autonomous entities with will of their own
- Trickster archetype within the Mothmanflap
- John Keel’s 8th-Tower and human automatons tuned into evil field
- Synchronistic phenomena include the UFO haystack and parapsychologicalmanifestations and are the root energeticsof all paranormal phenomena
… I really like books with long subtitles, and there is a really slim book – it’s one of the slimmest books I’ve ever seen – on the UFO subject. It seems to really be the best at quantifying Jung’s ideas about UFO’s and puts forth an idea that I think may in fact be darn close to the mark. That is Dr. Greg Little’s book, The Archetype Experience: Resolving the UFO Mystery and the Riddle of Biblical Prophesy Using C.G. Jung’s Concept of Synchronicity. I don’t know if he solves the riddle of biblical prophecy, but the book basically puts forth this idea that there are what he calls materialized archetypal splinters.
He basically points out that the archetypes represent polar opposites. It’s often said that 80% of UFO’s are in fact IFO’s, misidentifications of identifiable objects, if you just have enough information. Well, he suggests that that UFO haystack, that 80% of those misidentifications are an integral part of the UFO phenomenon, that it’s those misperceptions that often can trigger the same kind of experience that he thinks is a contacting of something alien or other. His idea is basically that when someone sees a UFO, if there is a corresponding bubbling up in that person of one of the archetypes, that’s what will sync that person with the phenomenon and make it something significant for them, in other words, that will create a meaningful coincidence, a synchronicity that will then imbue that experience with meaning.
Now, this can happen, and I’ve seen it described in many other cases from researchers like Jenny Randles and others where the perception of a known IFO, something that’s just absolutely verifiable, they did not see anything more than a mundane object, but they perceived it as something extra mundane, and they seem to have had one of these experiences. That’s just the 80% haystack part of this. That other smaller percentage of true UFO encounters he believes are physical manifestations of Jung’s archetypes. He envisages the archetypes as existing in what he describes as the super spectrum, those parts of the energy spectrum that we can’t see with our normal eyes. We have a lot of equipment to detect and perceive radio waves and television waves and infrared and ultraviolet, but those are all part of the same spectrum of energy that we’re all bathed in and meshed in.
Just like John Keel suggested that the dematerialization we see of UFO’s could simply be them moving through that portion of the visible light spectrum that our eyes can see before they move back into either end of the spectrum, the ultraviolet or the infrared. Dr. Greg Little believes that these archetypes are autonomous and have a will of their own. Again, he is giving his interpretation of Jung’s ideas of synchronicity, the collective unconscious, and archetypes. There are a lot of people that would probably disagree with him, but I’ve also found a lot of other researchers that seem to agree with more or less the same idea, even without knowing anything about Dr. Greg Little.
Dr. Little is, I believe, a
psychiatristpsychologist. He works in the prisons. He works with inmates. He is also very much into Edgar Cayce. He is into the Native American mound culture that dots the American countryside. He’s a very interesting fellow, and I don’t agree with all of his ideas, but I think he’s on to something here. He’s one of the perspectives that I think some folks might want to check out more.
Join SMiles Lewis in a discussion with Dr. Greg Little on UFOs and related topics Wednesday night, February 12th, at 7pm CST. Doctor Greg Little has written several important books and articles on UFOs, Consciousness, and Native American mound sites including The Archetype Experience, People of the Web, Grand Illusions, and most recently an important introduction to Andrew Collins’ book published in 2012 titled LightQuest, as well as Mound Builders: Edgar Cayce’s Forgotten Record of Ancient America – not to mention his numerous professional works in the important areas of psychopharmacology, criminal justice, treatment & counseling, antisocial personality disorders, drug abuse, and sexology.

Andrei Saltykov came up with the idea for his highly functional work of wall art after living in Washington, DC, while working on a building for Richard Rogers. He saw a map of the country made from license plates and eventually put the concept to use in his new house in London, the first project of his practice Saltykov & Lacey. American geography, it turns out, was just perfect for what he had in mind. “I thought about doing Britain or Russia,” he says, “but there weren’t so many sections, and the United States has lots of straight-lined divisions—great for holding books.” Showing off his library wasn’t Saltykov’s only aesthetic aim, though. Within the map he fastened 600 tiny Christmas tree lights that represent the nation’s major cities.

Hail, Hail, The Gang’s All Here! – Remembering The Trickster of UFOlogy, Jim Moseley
By Sean Casteel
The “old guard” of UFOlogy is quickly passing away before our very eyes. First there was John Keel, then Richard Hall, Ingo Swann, George Fawcett and most recently a man who remained for many years one of the most controversial and influential figures in all of UFO-dom, a personality who many loved and others equally despised.
When James W. Moseley passed away on November 16, 2012, at a hospital in Key West, Florida, he left behind a great many friends to mourn him. Though his name may be unfamiliar to the younger members of the UFO community today, he was for many years a most provocative voice in the field of UFOlogy, known for being a comic trickster as well as a serious researcher of flying saucer and paranormal phenomena who broke new ground in coverage of the subjects with his publications “Saucer News” and “Saucer Smear.”
In memory of his departed friend, Timothy Green Beckley of Global Communications has recently published “The Astounding UFO Secrets of James W. Moseley, A Special Tribute To The Editor Of ‘Saucer Smear’ And The Court Jester Of UFOlogy.” The book includes the full text of “UFO Crash Secrets At Wright-Patterson Air Force Base,” a first-person account by Moseley of his investigations into numerous UFO-related incidents that also highlights his feisty attitude toward his fellow researchers and their continual disagreements over what to believe in a field where concrete evidence is almost impossible to find.
But Beckley, who is listed as the editor on the cover of the tribute book, begins things with a series of memories from those who knew and admired Moseley, all of whom have their own unique stories to tell about the jokester and his long history in UFOlogy. Beckley’s lifelong relationship with Moseley began in the early to mid-1960s when Beckley was still in his teens and an avid listener to the all night radio talk show hosted by Long John Nebel. Nebel often covered UFOs and other strange subjects, and Moseley was a frequent guest on the program. Moseley used the show to promote his monthly UFO meetings in the rather seamy Times Square area of Manhattan, and Beckley was a regular attendee. Beckley was so young at the time that he needed his brother-in-law to accompany him in the journey from New Jersey to the Port Authority in New York and on to the meetings.
